School Records Fall in 2012
Three Ashland track & field records have fallen so far this season. AHS freshman Shelby Luerman set the new 200 meter dash record on May 4 at Bucklin's Red Aces Relays with a time of 26.78 in the prelims. That makes her official mark 26.8 eclipsing Joanna Harden's 26.9 set in 2004. AJH eighth graders Kole Konrade and CJ Bonilla broke long-standing field event records as well. Most Inspirational Athlete
For the first time in the history of AHS, there was a double tie in the balloting for Most Inspirational Athlete. The girls' most inspirational athlete award for 2012 went to Aspen McCann and Abigail Spare. For the boys the award went to Giles Fox and Jay Luerman. read more
Emily Sprunger places second at State Forensics
AHS freshman Emily Sprunger placed second in Serious Solo Acting at the State Forensics meet at Salina Central High School on May 6, 2012.
